Photoelectric smoke detector

Low profile photoelectric smoke detector, complete with self-learning circuit and short-circuit isolator. Smoke detectors operate on the principle of light scattering caused by smoke particles present in the air (TYNDALL effect). The detector has an automatic gain control function; a microcontroller calculates the compensation of the reading to maintain a constant sensitivity over time, correcting any increase in level caused by dust settling inside the analysis chamber. Smoke detectors must be installed where there are no air currents that could deflect the flow of particles produced by combustion and in places where normal activities take place.
